I'm so excited, I just found out there's a knitting group forming nearby!! I hope I'm not the only man there!
I'm currently working on Mathew Gnagy's Carlito cardigan. It's going to be a challenge. I don't like simple, easy, quick to do projects. The more difficult the better. I will post some pics when I'm further along!
Okay, thinking about checking out knitting socks, since the guys here say it's so easy. However, I'm looking for opinions and advice as to yarns, and dpns, or circs and magic loop.
I live in Waterloo New York, and I have about twelve inches of snow give to me by winter storm Nemo. (I like him in the movie, ain't too fond of him now!) I have to wait for someone to come and shovel me out, for I have spinal issues, and I'm a heart patient. There will be no shoveling for me.
I don't usually knit for babies, but I had some yarn leftover and wanted to use it up. It was sold almost immediately after I finished it.
I actually whooped with joy when I finished this afghan. As you can see, it's quite large as that's a double bed it's on. (And yes, I made the quilt underneath as well).
I'm beginning to think I don't belong on this site with all the designers, spinners, and guy who have access to great yarns. I work with yarn from Wal-Mart and Jo-Annes. Free patterns from the internet are my muse. I have no one to knit for, and no one to knit with. you all are so lucky.
