Time to stop!

After forty-years of knitting, I used to consider myself a more than competent knitter. After seeing so many of the projects from these men, I guess I was very, very wrong. It might be time to stop. I don't think I'll ever reach the level of expertise to knit socks and lace shawls. Knit On gentlemen. I'm putting my needles away.

Socks

Okay, gonna take the plunge and try knitting some socks! I'm asking for input as to yarns, needles, patterns and heels techniques. Oh, and dpns, or magic loop?

other things

Although I'm a obsessed knitter, at times I need a break and this is what else I do.

Carlito Cardigan

Put away the Carlito Cardigan for a while. After attempting the back three times, I can't get the stitching to come together where it needs to on the lower back. Ah well, I will conquer it eventually.

Knitting Group

I missed my first knitting group, I felt I needed to be by a friend that was admitting her mom into hospice. The group will be there next week..

Why isn't there chat on here?

Knitting Group

I'm so excited, I just found out there's a knitting group forming nearby!! I hope I'm not the only man there!

I'm currently working on Mathew Gnagy's Carlito cardigan. It's going to be a challenge. I don't like simple, easy, quick to do projects. The more difficult the better. I will post some pics when I'm further along!

Socks

Okay, thinking about checking out knitting socks, since the guys here say it's so easy. However, I'm looking for opinions and advice as to yarns, and dpns, or circs and magic loop.

Snow

I live in Waterloo New York, and I have about twelve inches of snow give to me by winter storm Nemo. (I like him in the movie, ain't too fond of him now!) I have to wait for someone to come and shovel me out, for I have spinal issues, and I'm a heart patient. There will be no shoveling for me.

A baby afghan

I don't usually knit for babies, but I had some yarn leftover and wanted to use it up. It was sold almost immediately after I finished it.
