The following slippers are loosely based on a pattern found in a book. I honestly can't remember the name of the book, but even if I did, I don't think I'd share it here.
This January the company asked us to incorporate the company icon into a project that reflects something that inspires us.
I decided to have some fun with this yarn. I picked up 2 skeins for $2 each, so made a pair of longer socks for my daughter. I used what Welden's calls a German Heel with a more rounded toe.
I went a bit crazy the past few days. I had the kids with me all day Monday and Tuesday so I essentially had a 4 day weekend. This meant I was able to bang out another pair of socks.
This time I used the Ringwood pattern and number 3 needles to create this pair of mittens. The pattern was used to spice up the back side, keeping the front in stockinette stitch.
I just finished a pair of socks and thought I would share. I'm quite pleased with how these turned out. They make really good slippers or sleeping socks as they are quite warm.
