Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to All

you fellow knitters. I have been busy with Christmas projects and getting ready for Christmas as many of you are as well so I haven't been on line in a while. I have made several pairs of socks, and am now working on a pair of pink socks for my partner's brother's while. I will post pictures as soon as I can. May the peace and true meaning of Christmas be with you all :)

Regarding a SW (slip and wrap) stitch

I am currently working on a pair of children's socks. The pattern is a Lion Brand's Wool-Ease, #70480A.

According to the instructions for shaping the heel it states, (19 stitches on needle)
(WS) P18 sts, SW next st, turn
I would do this having 1 st less on each row and continue until 10 stitches have been work.

Then I would add stitches back on needle as follow

One down and two to go

I have just completed one of three hooded sweaters that I'm giving to my partner's grandchildren for Christmas. This was one of Vanna White's patterns from Lion Brand Yarn. Easy pattern.

Nate Berkus's sweaters

Has anyone noticed on Nate Berkus's shows that he likes to sport sweaters, especially cardigans in fine knits, which looks great on him. I'm glad to see men going back to wearing cardigans again.

PBS Programs

Have any of you seen the PBS program called "Knitting Daily" and "Knit and Crochet"? These two programs are shown Mondays on PBS stations.
