Next month I will be visiting Toronto! August 11-14. I haven't been there since I attended Pride in 2003 and I cannot wait to visit again.
I bought a sweater this weekend while out Christmas shopping. I didn't notice until I got home that it has some raised stripes on it, and I can't figure out how they did it.
I spent Thursday, Friday, and part of today knitting with this as my view. Are you jealous?
It's true what they say...the camera really does add 70 pounds.
I'm so slow I could only get one square done for the blanket. I chose the Candle Flame pattern out of A Treasury of Knitting Patterns.
My grandmother made this for me before she passed. She wrote all of the patterns but they have since been lost. I hope to recreate them as I get time so I can make this afghan for myself.
Yesterday I received my wonderful scarf from the scarf exchange. I love it! And it came with lots of goodies!
I'd like some pattern ideas for the yarn in the picture. For some reason I'm attracted to the colors in it. I usually like solid colors, so I'm lost on what I could do with this yarn.
Thanks to those of you who posted in response to my beret question. While this pattern says it is a beret...it's probably more like a tam. Either way the recipient called today to say she loved it!
My friend has asked me to knit a beret for her. How do I make it keep the beret shape once knitted?
I knitted up a swatch of what I thought would be the pattern for the scarf I'm knitting for the exchange. This is just one pattern repeat, and I like the center.
