A round the first of this year I found out that my nephew and his wife were expecting their second child. At that point I started to look at something to knit for the baby. Before I got started we heard that the ultrasound said that it ws going to be a girl.
Sorry not to have posted for a while. I'm still here and I'm still knitting - and at last have started Dad's Christmas Cardigan before december so there is a chance it will get finished.
Just came across this article and though you might like to see it:
Modeled by dear friend/recipient.
This hat took me forever since I was working on it as we listed and sold our home in Burbank and moved to San Luis Obispo. I used double pointed needles and Mirasol Tupa 50/50 merino/silk. Love the yarn. It's a Woolly Wormhead pattern called Castiel. I had to rescue the project from catastrophic stitch droppage a couple times.
Since June I have been struggling to find a pattern or formula to make what I consider a sock that fits and will nicely adjust to needle size and yarn thicknesses. Thanks Ken in Main for all your help and the suggestion to use Yarmando's Evil Sock Genius lessons. He just makes a sock make sense for me.
Sweater finished :D! I knitted it for a foreign student who wanted to give his father a real Norwegian Sweater. Knitted in Viking Superwash yarn, and the pattern is from Viking of Norway. I think they have free download for their catalogs :D!
Working from franklins plaid idea, striped blanket in cobasi plus, garter on the bias and then woven plaid on the wrong side. The ends are all tucked into rolled edge
Some very impressive work!
