Good Morning All,
My latest attempt at humor inspired by the apocalyptic conditions that surround me...
I am on the hunt for a men's robe pattern. I recall one was posted on here
a long time ago but not sure who the poster was. Does anyone know of robe
pattern for men?
Finally have it done. It's worsted weight, but I'm not sure of the fiber content. The yarn was given to me rolled in balls. Feels like Acrylic. Sweated it out towards the end, I wasn't sure there'd be enough yarn. I found an error in the pattern for the shawl collar. I had to pick out the bind off, and make it longer, as it didn't fit the lapel. But...I'm done, and on with another sweater.
In light of the flooding in Colorado, I emailed the owners of the Sunshine Retreat but haven't heard anything back from them. I know cell phone and Internet are down in a lot of the area around Lyons, which we drove through while driving up from Denver to the lodge. I hope that all of you from that area are okay.
I made a huge shawl or medium blanket out of sock yarn that was left over from other projects. The finished blocked size is 72 inches. I used a 5 mm needle and started in the centre with dpn's. When I ran out of one colour I just added another by knitting the two together for 10 stitches and after it was blocked I cut the ends off.
Several months ago I bought s book called Two-ende Knitting by Anne - Maj Ling. This is a traditional Scandinavian Technique - Tvaandssticking also known as Twined Knitting or TWo-end Knitting. You can check out her designs on revelry. I was curious if any of my bro's out there have tried this technique? Let me know.
I thought some might enjoy this :-)
My husband took up knitting a few years ago when it was undergoing a bit of a resurgence. He's always loved making things, he's a very fussy knot-tier from his days in the Navy, and I think the incongruity of a man like him knitting (he's kind of a man's man) appealed to him, too.
Good Afternoon All,
