I am curious. A friend asked me if I would show her how to do The Magic Loop. She wants to show her daughter in law, a new enthusiastic knitter who wants to try socks, and couldnt figure it out.
Well, I just finished my daughter's Christmas present today!
Well, I get to keep the black and white fair isle cap.
My first project is evolving. After learning the purl stitch, my garter stitch scarf has begun to evolve. The garter stitch transitions to a band of seed stitch, then moss stitch.
I need help with a 24 carats shawl...... on row 9 it say K2, YO, *K3, YO, K1, PM, K1, YO* 4 times K3, YO, K2 and on row 10 say k1 purl until end and k1... i have this part.....
So, I have been debating the whole ball winder dilemna, I didn't want to spend $50.00 on a winder, and I didn't want the super cheap winder either. Lightning struck, I had an idea!
I really LOVE Freecycle!
I answered a post on our local Freecycle (Portland, Maine) where a woman was clearing out her house for putting said house up for sale.
When Ted and I first discussed coordinating a knitting retreat for men, we never expected such a broad response.
Why I cannot get my images to post? Oh, and please use your clearest, non-techie speak...The Pilgrim may be Knitty...but he's no geek!
Over the past year or so, the Pilgrim has created a number of knits for the Long-Suffering Other's adorable neice, the eight-year-old Princess Mary. Mary is more precisely a Pink Princess.
