I"m looking for a toe-up sock that uses Judy's magic cast on, and is made with worsted weight. I have a pattern that fits 8" circumference but I need 9 or 9.5". Does anyone know of one? Or, do you know how I should make adjustments to a smaller sock?
I have not posted any FO's for awhile so here is my latest effort. It is from the book "The Haapsalu Shawl". Took me six months but I now feel more confident with "Nupps" lol.
Getting ready to start my 2nd pair of socks.
Picked up some really nice sock yarn
2 balls of Deborah Norville - Serenity collection
50%merino 25%bamboo 25%nylon
The thin size intimidates me, needed new dpn's for this one
Asked, Answered, Found and Ground! (yes more homemade needles)
These are smaller than US1's but not quite 0's (are there 0.75's?)
Ran across this cartoon this morning... thought I'd share...
Grace and peace,
Hey guys. I'm a new member here and I wonder if you guys can point me in the right direction. I am looking to make a shawl in ocean/water colors as a tribute to Aphrodite, Goddess of the sea, love, beauty, and sexuality. I've been trolling through Ravelry with moderate success and I'm hoping someone here can point me to that one pattern that makes me go "Ah-ha!"
Well last night at 11:00 pm(during PBS documentary "Kind Hearted Woman" I finished my first pair of kniitted socks. And they joy I felt when I put them on for the first time. It was in heaven!. They are 75 % merino wool, and 25 % nylon. Paton. Although the pics show a bit of brown (why I do not know) they are a lightly shaded greys and blacks. with a bit of twist in the yarn.
Although I'm a obsessed knitter, at times I need a break and this is what else I do.
As I live in a warm climate I don't do a great deal of knitting these days other than bits for charity. Here is my latest rug. I cast on 361 sts, mark the 181 st with a safety pin and knit to two sts before the pin, knit these two sts together, knit the marked st and knit the next two sts tbl and knit to end.
