I have started a new raglan sweater lately. Will it be a crew or turtle neck, I don't know yet!
I had 9 balls of beige in Jamieson and Smith 4 ply Jumper Shetland Wool and dug out out 9 other balls of different colours. I used lovat, mustard, silver, periwinkle, sand, live lobster, spring green, oatmeal, and grape. I kept them in that order with a row of beige every other row. I knitted it with 3.25 mm needles. It is nice and warm and will be great in the autumn.
I'm looking at a pattern/chart and I ran across a No Stitch symbol. I'm curious, how does one execute that No Stitch?
I don't know the ID of the gentleman who does the wonderful fair isle knitting on here but maybe someone could bring this link to his attention.
Found a wonderful vintage fair isle pattern online. Not sure if it'll be his cup of tea or not, but here's the link anyway.
This pair of tube socks has been in the works for quite some time but were finished this morning. A little bit of ripping back when I first started them [too tight] and at the very end [reshaping the toe decreasing for a more pleasing look] but, otherwise, a pretty fast and satisfying project when I could just work on them.
These are the latest socks. They took exactly 4 weeks to knit; the second
in only 10 days. I would've been faster if I'd not been reading so much.
The yarn is from Mary Maxim and was a gift. These socks will be given to a friend who admires the colors. Not that I'm too butch to wear them myself.
Thought I'd post the Cowl that I was having a difficult time with on dbl pointed needles... Finally purchased a exchangeable cable knitting needle.knitted in Malabrigo Rasta - Belgian Chocolate- Patternfrom Rowan Big Accessories!
Then the second project - just a basic scarf in a rib stitch - Malabrigo Hummingbird- this project was a surprise gift for a friend.
It is a silly pink elephant balloon animal, here it is all twisted together. Since I had no grey yarn in my stash, I decided to make it pink. If you are old enough you will know all about pink elephants.
Hope all is well with everyone. This is a photo of something I knitted and is so strange, just wondering if any members here want to take a guess at what it may be.
I will post a picture of the object in a few days.
Has anyone tried this pattern?
Would like to try it, but only really a beginner lace knitter.
Also wondering if it is possible to knit this without using circular needles?
Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks
