Care for Woolens tag... ??

teejtc's picture

Several months ago, I saw a copy of a tag someone worked up to give with their handknit, woolen gifts for instructing the receiver how to care for, launder, etc. the gift.

Of course, I can't find it now.

Does anyone have such a thing?

Well, I figure if it's hand-knit, a nice hand-written tag or sticker or something nice should be done.

Since letter-writing is all but obsolete nowadays, and it's not really the type of content that you want to write in a greeting card...

...although, that might be interesting content, if you think about it. I can see it now: Warmest greetings for the most festive of holiday seasons. I hope you and the kids are going to have the best year ever...oh, by the way, handwash in warm water with mild soap, gently squeeze out the rinse, roll and pat with a towel to collect the excess, do not wring, do not hang, lay flat to dry.

Merry Christmas!

All of my tags tell what the

All of my tags tell what the fiber in is detail and then I just keep it simple and say "hand wash, dry flat" it works for all knitted goods. Here's an example:
