A quick Christmas knitting update

Guys

I've been quiet and this is why:

My favourite str8 manfriend's Xmas gifts: socks and hat
Friend Ali's Xmas cloche
My bf's mum's Xmas gloves

Also managed a swallowtail shawl... which I struggled with but glad its done and now working flat out on BF's dad's cable gloves all for Xmas.

BF's hat was an emergency project to keep his head warm... not my favourite thing but he likes it.

Phew!

All beautiful FOs. I've been looking for a hat other than the traditional ski cap and Stuey (Morgan) certainly would fit the bill. Great job and thanks for the lead.

Very nice knitting, Adrian. The colors and knitting skill are great. That purple hat for Stuey is really a knockout...if I wasn't already swimming in hats, I'd have to seriously consider making one. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

The yarn and socks are

The yarn and socks are Malabrigo Yarn Merino Worsted. Its very soft and thick and therefore perfect for my best str8 friend... who is also very soft and... err... actually rather bright and adorable.

Its knit in fisherman's rib which picks up from the row below to make it all a bit thicker. I nearly kept that cap for myself and will def. make another one soon.

Stuey's hat is called Morgan

Stuey's hat is called Morgan and its actually an UGH on Ravelry. I think its a very odd shape but somehow he manages to pull if off and makes it look good.

All Xmas shopping done and wrapped, all cards written, tree up and mulled wine and mince pies party this coming saturday night for all our friends and thats it... I can relax!

I def. knitted the cloche AND it was my first hat for a lady *coy look*.

I'm very pleased with the way it came out although I'm slightly concerned that it might be a little bit 'soft' as a fabric, not firm enough to hold its shape for long.
