I have been knitting almost non-stop since October, what with Chrstmas gifts, comissions and the occasional craft show it's all I can do to keep up. I still have a pair of socks to finish and a hat to make and people are still asking me to do stuff. A friend asked me if I could get five pair of socks done and down to Houston by Christmas, I sadly had to decline as that it was last week that she asked. I did get her some hats though. And my stash is taking a big hit - I'll have to take an inventory and see what I need to go shopping for. What fun! I wonder if I need to worry about carpal tunnel.

Thnaks for the great advice
Thnaks for the great advice guys. I will be taking many more breaks from now on. I've heard carpal tunnel is horrible and I already tend to get tendonidous in my fingers although at the moment my hands are just fatigued and a bit stiff in the mornings.
I can say no and do if I feel the least bit uneasy about meeting a deadline but I do hate to dissappoint anyone. I'm alway so flattered when asked to knit something for someone.
Points well taken from Kent
Points well taken from Kent and Bill. I hope you are doing the stretches and such to relax your wrists. I have had to learn to say "No" very handily over the years...I can barely keep up with my personal stuff. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
Awww oh! It's never good to
Awww oh!
It's never good to be in pain...
It's always a warning.
I hope your taking breaks as much as possible - getting massages and stretching those hands?
For every hour I knit, I try to squeeze about 10 minutes of rest - or a cookie break :)
And I try not to knit for more than 3 hours a day.
Take Care!
