Hey men...
I saw a sweater pattern on my friends activity page in ravelry, and I think the stitch pattern looks absolutely awesome. The artist, Lori Versaci, calls it a basketweave stitch, but it doesn't look like any basketweave I've seen before. I would love to make a malabrigo scarf with this stitch patten. Does anyone know how to do this stitch?
The jacket can be seen at ravelry.com/patterns/library/basketweave-jacket-2 if you want to check out the stitch pattern. I'd paste a picture here, but don't wan't to violate any copyright issues.
Thanks for your help on this...

Has anyone used this stitch
Has anyone used this stitch for a men's sweater? I have some coffee-brown felt yarn, and was thinking about knitting a swatch in this stitch to see how it looked.
Certainly not what most
Certainly not what most people would refer to as a basket weave by any stretch of the imagination. I found the stitch online listed as "Plaited Basket Stitch".
Any odd number
Row 1 (RS): k2, *insert needle in back loop of second st on left needle, k and leave on needle. Then knit the first st, then slip both sts from needle together; rep from *, end k1.
Row 2: p2, * skip next st and purl the second st, then purl the skipped st, then sl both sts from needle together; rep from *, end p1.
Good Luck!

Shawn...thank you so much.
Shawn...thank you so much. You are very right, it wasn't like any basket weave stitch I had ever seen, but I realy liked the texture.
Have a great weekend, bud.
