Probably, as he seems to do everything for money/sponsorship/publicity. He is a most irritating guy.

What a cool article! I

What a cool article! I think we're living through the edge of a cultural change vis a vis knitting. In twenty years male knitters will look back at out time and say "what was the big deal?".

I thought it was interesting

I thought it was interesting that he said "knitting was outside of his comfort zone". For me knitting is becoming a zone of it’s own. I’ve realized that sometimes I will sit down and start to knit in a not completely conscious effort to become more comfortable.

I can understand where he's coming from. Right now "steeking" is outside my comfort zone. And knitting Continental is also still outside my comfort zone!! :-)

I get $20 to steek the armholes on a traditional scandinavian sweater for people who are terrified of cutting their own yarn. Bless their hearts!

I usually give my advice

I usually give my advice away. Maybe I should work out a sliding scale...there could be a supplemental income here. Of course, if I was going to slash a steek, I'd have to charge lots more...I'm terrified of them. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
