I picked up some Alpaca roving the other day during the Men's Midwest Knitting Retreat and our visit to Circle R Ranch. It was my first time spinning Alpaca - loved it.
Anyhow... my first alpaca and my first attempt at plying... It isn't a terrible lot of yarn, but I'm really happy with it! I had to celebrate with someone who knew what they're looking at.

Fantastic spinning and plying, Tim. I keep hearing great things about Kromski wheels. However, I spin so seldom it wouldn't be worth my while to invest in one. That ought to knit up gorgeously. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

I have to agree with MMario...that is exceptionally beautiful spinning, and the color of the natural brown alpaca is incredibly rich.

*grin* hard to believe that yarn is a "first" .....that appears to be the type of handspun that people (who don't know any better) look at and say "Oh - that can't be handspun it's too even!"
