Ok! First of all, I have been in CA for nearly two weeks and it is going great! I am gainfully employed, moved in, and loving every minute of our new life here. Thanks again to all who have kept track, put up with, watched for, etc our travels to this point.

Now for the question... I am wanting to do a baby blanket for a friend and the theme is brown, brown, and pink and circles. I have been thinking about how to do a circle within a square... I do want a square blanket in the end. Should I do intarsia or or or... Eric Paul had the idea of a pop art piece that would incorporate a quarter of a circle in each square that could be done in the different colors then put together and have larger circles... Any ideas? Thanks, Guys!

Haven't any thoughts on the project - looking forward to seeing how it develops - but am glad to know all is smooth at the home front. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

YOu *can* knit in the round

YOu *can* knit in the round forming concentric circles and about 1/2 to 2/3rds of the diameter switch to square shaping, (increases paired at the four corners) and block square with very little distortion. Otherwise I would go the instarsia route....

It is wonderful that you are

It is wonderful that you are settling into your new life together, I admire the fact you moved so many miles to be together. I am having a problem with moving 40 km as my new condo will be ready in 10 months and I don't want to move twice lol.
As to the blanket (brown being my fav colour), I was thinking of interlocking circlesof varying sizes and colours (there are so many shades of brown) and Teddy Bears pop into my mind, guess intarsia would be best this way. Good Luck with your decision.
