...and preaching to the choir, because I'm among my own (thank the gods!) but still...sometimes things just jerk my chain!

I still just don't understand -- in this year, 2009, why some of these little journalism class TWITS are still seeming to think that men who knit (in public and all) is some kind of social issue.

OLD NEWS!!!

Over on Ravelry, here comes this girl who is "writing an ethnography on men who knit." She joins up and the very first post that she spews is asking about what the "social cost" is for guys who knit...on the MWK group.

WTF?

I'll stop there...y'all know I can write three volumes when the quarter's put in the jukebox...

It used to worry me about what people thought, when I knit in airports or on planes. I bow realize that anyone that has a problem with it, is the one with the problem.

Did I miss something in the rule book of life that says it costs to enjoy your hobby/living, while in public. Thank goodness I am so meaningless an individual to have been not asked to pay up ......... silly girl, wonder what she wants to be when she grows up?????????

What MMario said, along with everybody else. It just shows that a lot of people still don't get the fact that knitting is a universal craft/art and NOT gender specific. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Would social cost be the same as social benefit? I can think of many benefits. Were we all so stupid in our twenties? And what prof would sanction such a stupid topic?
