I have completed my hat. This makes me happy as it snowed today. I am not even going to wash it tonight.
With this hat, I took a pattern that uses a worsted weight and modified it to use a fingerling weight (3 ply). So, I had to add some more stitches. Do some more rounds and this is the result. It only took one skein and the other two will be a scarf to match. I am thinking about calling them and getting two more skeins for mittens.

Thanks Joe... I am liking it. I wore it to work today. Horrible hat head, but I looked swell in it!

I wear my hair very short and a lot of it migrated to my face to become my beard. That means less opportunity for hat head but it happens on occasion. Have fun with mittens. I've knit a pair of gloves but prefer mittens...keep your hands warmer and aren't as tricky. Mainly, they are a closed tube with another tube to put your thumb into. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

I have ideas about the scarf. Must get the yarn for the mittens. Never done mittens but I am thinking they are just like two hats put together. Crafting with out patterns!
