So today was a day off from school and for I week I had been planning to take a trip to San Antonio's Yarn Barn. What a delight it was to be surrounded by the tools and materials of the serious knitter. Of course, I certainly did not know my way around whatsoever, but the assistants were great help. I got a nice tour of the whole spectrum of different types of yarn. Loved the alpaca!
Although I have no time to be working on any other projects nor to learn another technique or skill at the moment, I caved and bought my first set of DPNs and my first ball of actual wool yarn. Yey! I dig the infinities of things to explore in knitting. I was particularly taken by the sock yarns and can't wait to attempt a pair in the future.... far distant future. For now, I'm content with my current projects, not to mention i'm terribly busy with school and formation. Thanks again for all the advice from my last blog. I greatly appreciate it.
