I purchased the yarn for this project with my partner back in December 2007. He selected it for a scarf, and I immediately set off on making it.
Flash forward to the next month, and I have finished the scarf. This yarn is quite yummy, but as I begin weaving in ends, I realize the pattern and the yarn don't give many options to hide the ends. So while playing around with ways to make the weaving as invisible as possible, I wind up with a *#&king hole...grrr. Nothing to worry about, I can fix it right? WRONG! No matter how I try to graft this end back in, I just seem to make it more obvious that I screwed up, so I end up frogging the entire last skein.
At this point I decide I need to set it aside and take a breather from it. It's now almost 2 years later, and I finally decided to finish the damn thing, reclaim my needles, and maybe Bill has forgotten about it and I can surprise him--hey we're both getting to the age, where it's not such a stretch that he'll remember us purchasing it.
When weaving in end this time, I was quite careful, and was able to hide them pretty well. I believe it'll keep him nice and warm.

I like the stitch pattern and the yarn looks so soft. What kind is it? Also, congrats on pushing through and finishing; it looks beautiful.
The yarn is Rowan Cashsoft
The yarn is Rowan Cashsoft Aran. It's very elastic, especially in k2p2 ribbing.
