So a coworker saw one of my sweaters and asked "Hey, can you knit a wallet?" I found Michael del Vecchio's pattern, got some hemp yarn and great advice at my LYS (Denver's Fancy Tiger), and made one. I didn't follow the directions to the letter, but it was a great guide. I knitted on size 5 needles and the help is extremely strong knitted in linen stitch. Not sure I'd want to do another one though.

Isn't hemp really hard to knit -- I have always found it stiffish??
