Mmario has been at it again. He created a pattern called, "Mr. MacGregor. I made this one baby blanket sized and it turned out great. It was knit with Plymouth Yarn Dreambaby Shine (dk)and used approximately 1,060 yards on a US size 6 needle. I did not do the last repeats in the body of the shawl and I also used the abbreviated Greenbriar lace edging. It still turned out to be 43" square (a great baby blanket size).
Thanks Mmario for the pattern!

Very nice. My guess is that the Mr. MacGregor connection is the carrot shaped design elements. Watch out, Peter Rabbit! -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
Beautiful. Great work. But
Beautiful. Great work. But what's the connection to Mr. McGregor? Not seeing it. Maybe I'm just dense.
There are carrots,
There are carrots, surrounded by a fence, with rabbit ears poking out from behind the fence, then "shrubberies" to fill it out.

I forgot about the Thornton W. Burgess version. I love his books and always recommend them to young readers. Wonderful entertainment. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
I grew up in the same town
I grew up in the same town he did; used to mow the lawn on the property that had the smiling pool; my sister worked at the TW Burgess Museum and my nephew played Jimmy Skunk for the museum as a toddler. Family friends owned the house Burgess was born in....and my Mom managed to snag his autograph at the local library the year she moved into town....
