Has anyone bought the Herbert Niebling book? I wonder what you think of it or what other people have said about it.
There are a few Niebling books out now. I only own the two Ichida books (which I love) where the Ichida sisters (or mother and daughter...I forget) have recharted a bunch of Niebling designs.
I also have the German portfolio that Lars wrote about, which is in German, but fortunately most of Herr Niebling's work is just following charts.
I'm on the Niebling Yahoo Group, but I haven't had time to read it lately. You might want to also ask the question on the Ravelry Niebling group if you're a member there.
Haven't tried any of his patterns but I know QueerJoe is a big fan. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
I "think" Lacis has English translations...possibly new...
I have some of his projects in my ravelry queue... they seem amazing, and can't wait to get around to knitting one.
