I've some notes on the pattern at home but I've only the internet at work , so off the top of my head... the wool is Debbie Bliss Donegal Tweed. It cost me a sodding fortune but the woman at our local wool shop lets me pay for it a ball at a time - I think it's part of her outreach program (she also does needle exchange but I'm off the hard shit at the mo). It was my enthusiasm for the yarn that kept me going when things got tough. It was only when I’d completely finished the back that I realised I knitted the cables upside down. I won’t be making that mistake again. Frogging can be quite emotional.

I took the pattern from Erika Knight’s book of 'Men’s Knits'. Easy to follow, good photography with some vaguely hot models. A large selection to cover all tastes. I used the reccomended wool and needles. The size worked out OK though the neck is a bit saggy.

PurlyMan. The sewing of the bits together was my favourite bit! - I've a book called 'Knit Aid' First Aid for knitters or something along those lines. It has lots of really basic techniques/stiches etc. I'd have been lost without it.

KnitManiac. We're having a late burst of Sun, the news people are referring to it as an Indian Summer. We don't get much sun in Hull, an awful lot of pastey bodies are being exhibited in parks, mine included.
