Well guys here it is. My first jumper.
Joukahainen - in a dark green Super Soft Lana Gatto with Morris Empire Superwash Merino Pumkin around the neck and cuffs.
It took just under four weeks BUT I frogged the neck three times to try and get something that I was happy with. Found out the hard way about Short Rows and the holes they can leave if you don't do them properly.
Also found out how hard it is to get back on track with raglan decreases after you have frogged!
Final freak out was when I washed the thing for blocking....It looked HUGE. I thought I had wrecked it but as it dried it was perfect - whew.
So - first one down and really bitten by the bug now - even have a stash for the next three planned projects.
Thanks guys for all the tips / advice and encouragement along the way...I'm hooked

Great job!
See it all worked itself out in the end. Glad that the ribbing settled down after blocking as I was sure it would. It looks great, now get started on the next one LOL.
Well done. That really is
Well done. That really is inspiring me to get back to my jumper... I've just moved house and have been using that as an excuse to not knit....amongst other things. Now I really have to pull the finger out and get on with it ... and with the socks that I've also neglected... hmmmm .... and then I am sure I'll be less stressed with work and feeling more happy with myself... it makes sense... avoidance... not good.
A great job on the first effort... my first effort well ... I do wear it occasionally but ... it didn't work out as well as yours... I might pull my first one out and redo it.
Winter will be here soon ... so I have a second incentive to get my act together before I freeze my tits off.
Well done and hope to see many more.

After such a success with this first jumper, it's no wonder you're hooked. I love the accent color you chose for the neck and cuff...it adds an enormous amount of interest to a simple and elegant sweater.
