Ok - here is the preview of my first jumper.
Joukahainen in Super Soft Lana Gatto (100% Merino) . I really love this wool but am not entirely happy with how this looks. It has taken me a while to get used to working with a circular needle so I don't think it is as even as when I work flat.
You can see how the smaller rib I chose keeps folding up - I REALLY hope this blocks flat!

Looking good Paul, like the color. Also I'm sure that a good blocking will take care of the ribbing rolling up.

Looking good! Looking forward to the finished sweater's debut. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
I agree with the other
I agree with the other comments, that blocking will help out. I also use only circular needles for everything except when it becomes too small and then have to switch to my DPNs.
So far so good! Blocking
So far so good!
Blocking will certainly do the trick...
...and be careful, once you get used to the "shorter" feel of the circular needles, without having to compensate balance and all, you'll wonder how you ever managed without them!
Good luck!

I think that after blocking, all your concerns will disappear. The circs are different at first, but once you are used to them, they are the best. I use mine for all my flat knitting also. They will really reduce the weight of the fabric on the needles when you are working on a "guy" sized sweater.
Keep up the good work.

I use mine for all my flat knitting also.
I do too. Most of my straight needles have become stitch holders in the way of some other project more pressing.

This is a nice looking project. It will all come out right in the end. Looking forward to seeing the finished sweater.
It's looking good - believe
It's looking good - believe me, the ribbing will work out fine. It'll be great. Just make sure we see the progress and the finished product!
It looks great! I think
It looks great! I think you'll be amazed how everything evens out and looks better after blocking!
