I wanted to show you the finished job. The gussets are perfect and the fingers were finished with a purl row. I am very proud of myself, this is my first pair of Knitted gloves and they are coming along very nicely. Thanks for stopping by!
Great looking gloves! Nice work. The fingerless gloves are on my project(s) queue. Such beautiful knitting there. What pattern is that? Looks like it was started with a narrow patterned strip (joined), and then picked up stitches for the ribbing and hand...I'm guessing. Very stylish.

The pattern is a based on the Briar ROse FIbers XOXO Mittens and hat, but I had to modify the pattern to get gloves. The start is a band knitted on the flat then joined and the stitches get picked up. I then proceed to do a 2 by 2 ribbing and on the last row I increase 4 stitches to a total of 56. I increase on the Purl Stitches which I noticed is perfect. After I am done with it is just your basic pattern , I am using 2.75 mm needles.

very nice Andy, I wish I were more prolific in my knitting, but unless it's simple and basic it always takes me forever to finish a project.
