I am not going to finish these with tip, it will be opened at the end just because I want to see what that feels like, I can always finish the tips later if I want to in crochet or knit. In the meantime we have the index finger and even though no picture , I have the middle finger as well. Thanks for the inspiration and motivation guys!

Really nice, Andy. Did you need extra rounds to bridge the gap between your fingers comfortably? It's been a long time since I made gloves and I normally do mittens. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Not really, I just cast on extra stiches, but like socks I pick up a stich which will be absorbed later on between the gap, so that there is no gap.

Ahhh....mini-gussets. I do this to help ease stress at the junction of the thumb and mitten body. Interestingly enough, I thought I "unvented" it but have since found it in a 1930's knitting book. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
