Stan got it right. He defined my life as far as news reporting went...you always had a true gentleman on the air when he told the way it was. High standards that very few newscasters can come close to. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

awwww :( I hadn't heard about him passing. The renter is doing some remodeling and we don't have any tv right now. I'm starting to feel old with all these people dying :/

Amen. I thought he was telling the truth as he saw it. I don't have the same trust in subsequent anchors. I think they are mostly saying whatever will make them famous.
