Just cast this off... still need to block it-
Only three days on needle!
Picked up the yarn in Gove City, Kansas.
Did I really just type that?
Now I just need for someone to have a baby!
Peace to all!

Great job, I love the colors. Haven't made one of these, but it makes me wonder how it would work for an adult sized one...

Excellent job!
...and yeah, as much as I completely adore EZ and all of her works, it's rather...ummmm...an interesting adventure to blindly go at it the very first time.
...but that's just beautiful, what you've done.

It was pretty scary- I was about 3/4 through with the pattern before I turned it, and had it fall into place... before then, I hadn't been able to see how it was gonna come together...

Boy howdy...is that the truth. I had to take it on blind faith (and a couple of rip outs) before it made sense. Once it did, I had a "D'oh...so THAT'S how it works." moment. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

and then once you have that "aha" moment, did you catch yourself laying it down and putting it together every couple of rows? I do... and I keep showing my wife... "hey look.. isn't this cool?!" She's not so impressed anymore....

Only a couple of times to make sure it was all still lining up the right way. LOL Then I said to myself, "Cut that out! If it doesn't work out, you can always rip - yet again!" -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Beautiful Job... Not that I'm at all surprised! :-) It really is a great pattern once you get the hang of it, huh?
As for a baby, well... we're announcing now... We're expecting our 2nd in January. Sophia is going to be a big sister...

Very nice. I want to do the Adult version, also. However...other projects spring to the forefront. I own all of EZ's books except for "Opinionated Knitter". Must remedy that. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
Wow, those colors are great.
Wow, those colors are great. I am knitting my first BSJ now as a knitalong with another knitter. I chose to use solid red from Spud and Chloe yarn (sweater) which is a dk/worsted wgt depending on how you look at it. I am using a number 4 needle as that is the one that gave me 5 stitches to the inch. As a knitter for many years I felt it was about time I tried knitting one. I am doing the baby one so I can understand it. I would next want to try doing a size for a 4 yr old - something the child will grow into and then graduate to a adult size for myself. Thanks for the inspiration boost.

That is so cute! Nice colours. I did my first BSJ a few months back. I was also surprised at how quick it went. I'll be doing another soon as my former teaching partner is pregers again.
