I'm Leon. I'm new and my Mom says I'm special.
Hi I'm Leon and .... I'm a knitter. Or is it not "that" kind of group?
I have signed on, looked around and found my way here. I live in Wellington, New Zealand.
During the day I work in an office and at night I knit... with a little crochet on the side.. but who doesn't.
I am looking forward the sharing some ideas and stories with all of you.

Welcome! Like you, Knitting is certainly my wife, but crochet is the mistress. I always have that slight tinge of guilt when spending time with crochet...like I'm cheating on my knitting. :-)

Lol, I have always thought of crochet as a boytoy you rarely see. It isn't really cheating, as long as the wife isn't around... I don't think this bodes well for the fidelity of my relationships.

Welcome . . this is a great bunch of guys that share so much about themselves . . knitting, fiber arts, personal, ramblings, thoughts, etc. I'm sure you will find a good place here. It is amazing to me how many commonalities are found here from guys all over the world.
My LYS has done well with the possum fiber; started selling it last year. Knitters and weavers alike have enjoyed using it.

welcome. sometimes it is "that" kind of group. those are fun days. other times, it's about knitting and stuff. those days are all right too. it's a fun supportive group from all walks of life and around the globe. i think there is at least one other kiwi on board somewhere.

It's not all northern hemisphere on this site... some of us are from the right side of the globe... and not necessarily perceived as being DownUnder... it's all perspective...
I'm an Aussie... but living in Turkey... Not sure that many Kiwis have found their way to this site... you might be the first of many... let's wait and see.

Hello and welcome! Prepare for an addiction to the best knitting site out there. I have been to the others, check them at most once a day, and they just do not compare. I would rather talk to the guys on here, very few of whom are close to me physically, than listen to the ramblings of the hundreds of women on other sites that live in the same city as I do. If you ever want to be part of a gossip mill that sometimes talks about knitting, there is a site for this...it starts with and "R." Not to say I don't love that site for the thousands of free patterns, but I have so little time to knit right now, it isn't even worth going there. Hmm, the frustration with my current lifestyle is showing through...
