Sunburn
Yeah, so my friend is on his way to Iraq and his wife wanted to rototill the garden and plant it. Knowing that the 15hp tiller was a bit big for her, I was called and spent almost three hours out in the sun, with no shirt on, and got this amazing sunburn. Just had to share it with all of you. Tomorrow, the 17th, is my 25th birthday and this is my present to myself.

Happy birthday Andrew, have a great day. A J&J product Solugel is good for sunburn, don't know if it is called that in the US but it contains polypropylene glycol and your pharmacist would know if there was a similar product there.
Happy Birthday. Take a wet
Happy Birthday. Take a wet towel (tea towel might be good to start with) and put it over your back to help ease the burn. Had to do it once for a horrible sunburn. Took several applications. Aloe vera will help although I can't add anything to the essential oil suggestions. Hope it doesn't whack out your birthday plans. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Happy birthday! Guess you won't be sleeping on your back for a few days! But seriously, get someone to put something on it- aloe vera (fresh if poss) and avoid being in rooms with dark brown carpets until you've finished peeling. And birthday cake - it'll take your mind off things.

Go and get some essential
Go and get some essential oils to put on your back. You will need to get only two types, Lavender and Geranium. It will stop that burn and inflammation in less than 5 minutes.
Put some vegetable oil in a wineglass, about a quarter of an inch will be more than enough. Into this oil drop 10 drops of lavender oil and five of Geranium oil. Stir it with your finger and then start to apply it to your sunburn.
Ask your friend to help put it on your back.
If you are at all sceptical about this, please just take it on blind faith and humour me. You will be pleased you did it after just a few minutes.
It was a major burn in a lab that helped found the modern practice of aromatherapy in France.
