Ok Chris, I did it, I joined!

Hi guys,

My name's Ken and my partner Mark and I live up in Maine, just outside of Bangor.  As a bit of an introduction...I started knitting back in September of 2005 and have been enjoying doing so ever since.  My favorite thing to knit, so far anyway, is socks.  I've also done some hats, scarves, a few knitted toys and I'm currently tackling the faux bear skin rug that was featured in the men's issue of Knit1.  I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it when it's done, but I just felt the need to take on the challenge of making such an unusual project...so far, so good.  Well, I guess that's it for now.  Thanks Chris for oh so politely reminding me to get it together and join the site.  And thanks to all of you who took the time to visit my blog (http://alterknituniverse.blogspot.com/) today.  I wondered why I was getting so many hits...

Welcome aboard.  Going to teach a knitting workshop last weekend in July at Sugarloaf, Maine for the spinners and knitters registry.  Did it last year and doing another one again - this time on making hats from scrap yarn around the house/stash bin.

Better late than never but yes, welcome Ken!  Can't wait to see pics of the faux bear skin rug when you're finished.  The wip looks great!
