The instructions for the blanket simply say what kind of yarn to use. But it does not mention needle size. Does that mean we can use any size needles we want?
Also, does anyone know if 1 ball/skein will be enough to make a square?
Good to learn this. I bought yarn last night and plan to get a square started today. Hoping for 2 of them but we'll see. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
you can use any needle size you want (there's gauge listed on the yarn ball band) - Gauge: Knit: 16 stitches x 22 rows = 4" (10 cm) on size 9 (5.5 mm) needles - as long as you get an 8" x 8" square and it is nice and comfy I'm sure it'll be perfect! :)

Yes! One skein will definitely make one square... probably two or more.
