Jamieson Yarns

I'm going to knit a sweater I found in Jamieson's Shetland Knitting Book 3. The yarn requirements call for Spindrift Yarn using three strands together. Jamieson has changed their skeins from ounces to grams. One color requires 12 skeins and I'm sure when this book was printed the skeins were in ounces. Does anyone know how I should convert to the new gram skeins. I have no idea how many yards/meters were in the old skeins. Thank you in advance for any help with this conversion.

I'm not sure is these folks

I'm not sure is these folks are the same Jamieson or not. It might be worth an e-mail to find out. If they are, I'll bet they can tell you how to convert the specifications. I've e-mailed them with questions and they've been very helpful.

That's a different company.

1 ounce = 28 grammes; 2

1 ounce = 28 grammes; 2 ounces = 57 grammes; 4 ounces = 113 grammes. 1 x 25gramme ball Spindrift = 105 metres/115 yards. I bought this book from www.she ewe knits.com. I would contact them as the owner (Anne) is extremely helpful and replies promptly.
