I've decided to take the plunge and come out of lurkdom to say hello and introduce myself. As my profile says I'm a machine knitter (gasp) as well as hand knitter and thought this would be a good time to show off my new sweater. Sadly, I did not knit it. Gladly, it was knit for me by my loving mother (Linda). In case anyone is interested, it's the cover sweater from Meg Swansen's Sweaters from Camp.

While at knitting camp my mother won a palette of yarn from Knit Picks and let me choose the pattern I wanted her to make. Much to my horror she knit it a total of 3 times to get it right, and she knit it back and forth instead of knitting it in the round.

It's not quite done and I said I would help work in some of the ends. I thought it was the least I could do and was thrilled to finally get my hands on it!

I'm going to have work long and hard to come up with something I knit myself to rival it's beauty. I'll have to think about it.
