Dudes: What up? I came across this today and I'm totally in love with the colours and the stranded pattern. Do you think I could convert the pattern into a guy sweater? Somehow I don't think I can pull of the plunging neckline.
Oh you could totally pull of the plunging neckline... But seriously, that colorwork would look really good on a mens sweater with a more sensible neck.

Hey Buck...the Shadow Pullover in that same Simply Shetland book is a man's v-neck sweater that uses the same yarn.
If you just adapted the pattern stitch to the shaping in the man's pullover using the same yarn, it would give you a sense of sizing, shaping and amount of yarn necessary.
You also wouldn't need to worry too much about buying one dyelot of the colors since stranded knitting allows for slight variations in colors of the various yarns.
God I love that colorway from Eunny...but I hate that neckline...even on a woman...perhaps TomH is right...it might look better on you.
I'm thinking that I would have to up the yarn by one of each type required.

Or you could make it more scooped to show MORE of your chest. Then, maybe turn it into a cardigan. That way the deep scoop will be less obvious to those who aren't drooling.
