OK, I know that I have been a member for a few weeks now, so I thought I should show you the photo I took of my first knitted item. I have made a few more things since this but it was my first. I hope to show another project tomorrow.
I've said it before and I'm sure I will say it again:
the quality of work done by the "newbie" knitters on this site is daunting. I find their posting in general spur me on as much (or maybe more) then the gorgeous lace pieces, or the marvelous colourwork and cables other long established knitters post.
After all - with first projects being posted such as THESE - why can't I get off my duff and knit something?
Very impressive! The color is gorgeous!
It's snowing outside right now in Vermont -- and I want to slip my feet into those toasty-looking slippers! -John
Ditto all the below! What yarn is that- I'm salivating.
Veni, vidi, kniti.
Way to go! The colors are great and they look nice and cozy. Thanks for posting!
The slippers look wondeful and will no doubt keep the wearers toes nice and toasty during the chilly seasons.
Great work ... an amazing first project!
Great job!! I'm looking forward to the next pictures.
Grace and Peace,
Wow the first? I am sincerely impressed. They look perfect for the chilly weather.
Those look awesome...are they really your first project?
They look great! I like the coloration in the yarn. The weather here is already calling for those tonight. Great job. Thanks for sharing.
