New hat for me

I have never actually knitted anything for myself before I finished this hat. It is just a simple k2,p2 ribbed hat but I think it is quite nice, especially since I found a nice yarn that matches the blue in my favorite fleece.

Blue is by far my favorite color, and there's something elegant about a simple ribbed hat. I've been looking around for a nice version of the decreases in a ribbed hat, and found a few I like, but none that I love love.

Nice hat! I really like the k2p2 ribbed hats, I think they show off the yarn nicely. I have made several for chemo patients.

Thanks. The yarn is a Malabrigo. I love their yarns. I heard that the factory or wherever they make the yarn had a fire recently. That does not bode well for those projects I had planned using their yarns!!

Anyway... I love the k2p2 pattern because I don't have to think too much about what I am knitting and can do it while I am watching Heroes or Family Guy or the Bears game. I have made a few for the Israeli soldier project, but I wanted to make something quick for myself.

The fire at the Malabrigo

The fire at the Malabrigo plant was earlier this year, I have heard they are back in full production now.

Nice hat... and yarn too. am tempted to make a simpler hat but ... I have a job not quite finished that I am doing at the moment and ... 2 other jobs queued ... so hats .... unfortunately will have to wait... I've done 3 hats that were very successful ... on to my first jumper ... and it has proven to be quite a challenge. So need to get that out of the way... but I love seeing what people do ... it is so inspiring....but I do need to remind myself that first I need to get current project finished :)
