Here is the lining. It is the first time I have done a lining. Really tough

I used the sweater as a

I used the sweater as a basic pattern and made a very simple tunic with the silk. Then I turned the sweater inside out and hand stitched the lining to the sweater. I attached it to the neck, shoulder seams, tacked it under the arm and in four places on the cuff.

Regardless of problems, I'm sure she'll love it and I think you did a great job. Just in time for the really cold stuff too. It looks toasty! I'm curious about how you attached the lining also. .

Well I hate to burst

Well
I hate to burst everyones idea of my professional talent but I took the sweater to my knitting group and had one of them try it on and it was tight in one arm. So i am cutting the lining out and will try again if i can find some more silk around here. Otherwise she gets it without.
Oh well, better luck next time :-)

I have lined a few sweaters

I have lined a few sweaters and it is a tough job. I can only say WOW for yours. It is absolutely beautiful. Your sister will be so glad to receive this.
