A blogging virgin...
Hi all ...
I am really inspired by this website ... I have not really accomplished much as a knitter 'cos I have been in the closet and ... well gave up due to isolation... yes I knitted about 20 years ago but no one at the time knitted ... so I stopped.
I wanted to knit when I was living in Asia ... I don't know why ... but I really had this great urge but the weather wasn't right ...too hot... but now that I am living in Turkey, where the weather gets cold, there is a need for handknits and no one seems to knit anymore ... so I started again.
Fortunately I have found a good friend here who has helped me immensely. The attached file is my second hat. The pattern I obtained from my inspirational friend. The first attempt went well...I use it all the time at work, this second one I have given to a friend.
I'm going to attempt to attach a few pics of the hat... I'll be immensely happy if they do upload. I have no faith in these things. I'll upload a few serious pics then a few silly ones. I hope I can take off pics ... if they are too silly... I'm sure people will let me know.

I have to admit, at one point I was going to post a picture of me wearing my orange "willie warmer" and even though it didn't show anything, I still thought it was a bit too risque.

Kurt... you are right about
Kurt... you are right about the word 'doff'....you caught me on the hop the other day... I was in a hurry... and wasn't sure your meaning ... cos 'duff' as in 'got her up the duff'means to get someone pregnant.... a 'duffa' is a silly person, a 'dossa' is someone who sleeps anywhere they can... and I just hadn't heard doff used in a long time.
I was caught once naked at my front door with a pizza man... I was fine to take the pizza from him while keeping the door ajar slightly but to give him his money ... well the door blew wide open and ... I was standing there in all my glory... weary nothing but a grin ...
