Show Off!!! No really that is great that you have yours done for your "Spoilee, Victim", maybe you should knit him another one while the rest of us you haven't even started yet, might be able to catch up with you! LOL! Knit on!
Kilted Knitter
Dearest, I have FIVE christmas stockings to design and knit for clients, not to mention scarves/hats for family members, 2 afghans, and a set of hats for a friend's family (matching long stocking caps), not to mention finishing my Mother's sweater and replacing the defective zipper on Dad's sweater. Don't be greedy...
Lots of stretching and Alexander technique: The key to knitting fast is staying relaxed and supple. it's like speed typing: What is the smallest movement you can do to get the work done...
Right! and some of the rest of us mortals have barely managed to get the bloody skeins untangled!!! I knit so hard to catch up after a few days of wasted time, that an elbow has seized and wrists are complaining. Please tell us that if you have managed to get it finished already that at least your little fingers hurt from the strain.
btw has anyone found supports, straps, techniques or whatever to reduce the strain on wrists adn elbows. I worry about this long term.
sometimes dp.s but right now a circ. rarely regular straight needles. I wondered about pillows under the elbows but then that wouldn't do too much for the wrists. I can't afford to get bunged up so am open to all possible solutions
That's OK. I'm always knitting scarves to test yarn combinations and patterns, and I realized that one that I had on my needles would be perfect for my "Victim" so I finished it while watching the telly. I don't expect anyone to send me one early: I have PLENTY of scarves at home to wear in the meanwhile.

It should make for great muscles! But seriously, that is an incredible volume. How do you protect your joints / tendons with that amount of work?
