Hello everyone. I just found and join Men Who Knit. It looks great and I'm looking forward to getting to know you all and your work.
I learned to knit when I was a freshman in high school about 34 years ago. While waiting for the bus after school one day, my classmate, Penelope Winkler (isn't that a great name!) was the only other person out front of the school and she was knitting. Intrigued I asked her if she'd show me how to do it and she did. I knit and crocheted quite a lot through high school.
But then I stopped and it was only after a recent trip to a friend's in MA that my interest was reawakened.
I just finished a scarf in tribute to the 10 year anniversay of Matthew Sheppard's death. That free pattern can be found here: http://www.knitting-and.com/knitting/patterns/scarves/matthewshepard.htm
I'll try to attach a pic of my finished scarf but if it fails to show up, chalk it up to the fact that I don't quite know how to go about it. Let's see...
