Highland Triangle Shawl

I just knit this shawl for a petite (probably all of 90 lb) friend of mine. I had to make significant pattern changes (lots fewer repeats) to make it an appropriate size. The original pattern from "Folk Shawls" by Cheryl Oberle makes a substantial shawl. It turned out great (I think).

I used a US #9 needle, and Debbie Bliss Donegal Luxury Tweed yarn. Other than the fewer repeats I followed the pattern exactly.

Excellent workk and I LOVE the color! I've flipped through this book a few times in the store but I have yet to buy it. There's some really lovely items in it that I'd love to have a go at.

The yarn is 85% wool and 15% angora. [But I always somehow manage to weave in a bit of Golden Retriever to the mix - not sure how that happens :) ]Rick
