
I just knit this shawl for a petite (probably all of 90 lb) friend of mine. I had to make significant pattern changes (lots fewer repeats) to make it an appropriate size. The original pattern from "Folk Shawls" by Cheryl Oberle makes a substantial shawl. It turned out great (I think).
I used a US #9 needle, and Debbie Bliss Donegal Luxury Tweed yarn. Other than the fewer repeats I followed the pattern exactly.
