What a great hat. I can all of use going through our bits and pieces and try to make one as lovely as yours. I imagine it was fun to make. Great knitting.
YES!! My late Mother used to knit up those super long stocking caps for us when we were kids in all sorts of wild and mixed-up color combinations (yours, mind you, is beautifully restrained in the color department and is most fetching!). I miss those hats! This is such a sweet reminder of my childhood and my dearly departed Mother. YOU ROCK, YUGI!
Well, that shouldn't be too hard to make...I think it looks wonderful, BTW...The proof of the pudding is what it looks like WORN, and it's very becoming.
Yugi! ok I want this hat. I would wear this hat EVERYWHERE. omg this is one of the most awesome things I've seen! Pattern for sale?
edit: and what yarns you use?
OMG, I did not make a pattern for this. I just made it up as I went along. LOL I made loads of mistakes, too, but I now hereby claim that all "mistakes" were intentional. I used some Caron Simply Soft yarn that my sister got me for Christmas last year. This is the same yarn my WTF Hat, Chevron Hat, and Tri-Colored Flecked Tweed hat all used. The lightest color in this hat and the flecked-tweed hat, however, is Bernat Satin.
I will try to get a pattern written up eventually. LOL
