Oh you guys with your Noro
Oh you guys with your Noro Striped Scarves.... Damn you! I've started one, now!
Well, I don't know if I can call it a "Noro" scarf, being that I'm a broke actor/barista who can't afford Noro. I did, however, find a lovely CHEAP yarn that mimics Malabrigo uncannily well, and has longer color fades... so far, so good!
yup..i actually respun the
yup..i actually respun the homespun. didnt card it..just took out the stonger nylon thread keeping it boucle like, sometimes i left the ones inside, sometimes i didnt :P didnt card it. cut it into lengths and then spun from that
for the noro scarf, i mostly let the colors roll out. the only time i manipulated them is when i had to add a new ball

I love these Noro striped
I love these Noro striped scarves and your colourway is gorgeous. Did you just let the stripes roll out or did you manipulate it?
You actually re-spun Lion
You actually re-spun Lion Brand Handspun? That looks WAY better than the regular stuff.
Do you spin right off the yarn or do you card the fiber first?
what i did was break off 2ft
what i did was break off 2ft lengths, remove the stong green polyester thread that kept it boucle like, and sometimes i'd remove the softer ones wrapped in the yarn, sometimes not...and then i would take a draft it out a little...turning it into 4+ft of "roving"
