Quick gifts

Lots of birthdays in the spring!  Here are some of the gift items I've been working on for the last couple of weeks ...

Felted Clogs - before & afterFelted clogs following the Fiber Trends pattern.  These knit up very quickly using a double strand of yarn and US 13 needles.  I felted a pair for myself but plan to present the others with a humorous set of felting instructions so that the recipients can experience the amazing process (and the aroma of wet wool) for themselves.

Purple boaPurple boa.  Sparkly lavender eyelash yarn knitted together with dark violet chenille on US 15 needles.  It's done in garter stitch.  Gotta keep it simple because it's virtually impossible to see the stitches through the eyelashes.

Red & Black boa

Red & Black boa.  Two strands of eyelash yarn worked on US 15 needles.  The yarn is very thin which produces a fabric resembling a net, but you can barely make out the individual stitches so the result is light, soft and stretchy.

Does the Fiber Trends clogs

Does the Fiber Trends clogs pattern include men's sizes?

Yes, it's written for (US)

Yes, it's written for (US) women's 6, 8, 10 and men's 11, 13.  I wear 9-1/2 shoes, and the 11 shrank to fit me just fine.  Women's 10 is a men's 8 if you need a small size.

Stuart, that's a great

Stuart, that's a great gift-giving idea for the felted slippers!  Sort of a do it yourself slipper kit.  I'd love to see the directions you are enclosing with the gift.

Someone is getting some

Someone is getting some great gifts!  I never cease to be amazed at how felting (slippers) turns funky knitting into something beautiful!

I've got knitting fever in the worsted way.

You have been very busy.

I like the colour combinations that you used for the clogs.
