neat tool that you can use for charts

it's an awesome program (a little slow) but FREE and is great at helping to chart out designs - for those of you who do lace or cables, it might be a good resources too...

I recently charted a pattern

I recently charted a pattern using excel. I was able to put the chart in pretty easily 32 rows by 40 columns. I color coded the different types of cable crossing to make it a little easier.

I got instructions from the following blog and set up excel.
