## Fibonacci Scarves

FFarff got me thinking, and since the MWK scarf exchange has started - well, it just seem s appropriate to post these.

Fibonacci Scarves

Version A - two colour
Suggested Needle Size 5 mm (US 8) w/ appropriate yarn

Cast on an appropriate width using colour A

Knit 55 rows

Switch to B: knit 1 row; A) 34 rows; B) 1 row; A) 21 rows; B) 2 rows; A) 13 rows; B) 3 rows; A) 8 rows; B) 5 rows; A) 5 rows; B) 8 rows; A) 3 rows; B) 13 rows; A) 2 rows; B) 21 rows; A) 1 row; B) 34 rows; A) 1 row; B) 55 rows, cast off.

Version B: Fibonacci Eyelet Scarf
Suggested Needle size: 3.25 mm (US 3) w/ appropriate yarn

Use the same number series as for version A with the following changes.

Use a multiple of 4 +3 to cast on.

Where the series calls for a row of colour 'A' knit a garter ridge (two rows)

Where it calls for a row of colour 'B' knit two rows as follows:

k3;* O,k2tog, k2; repeat from *

The final 'B' section knit 52 pairs of the lace and finish with 3 garter ridges. Bind off.

Version C: Two Colour Balanced:
Alternate Colour A with Colour B - number of rows for each is:

A - cast on, 1,2, 3, 5, 8, 13,21, 34, 34, 21,13, 8, 5,3,2, 1, bind off
B - 1,1,2,3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, 55, 34, 21,13, 8, 5, 3,2, 1, 1

Version D: another 2 colour
Alternate Colour A with Colour B - number of rows for each is:

A - cast on, 2, 5, 13, 34, 89, 34,13,5,2,bind off
B - 1, 3, 8, 21, 55, 55, 21,8,3,1

I'm a moron. I know the Fibonacci sequence, but don't get the pattern. Sounds like a cool idea...

### On version A and B the

On version A and B the series runs in one colour/pattern in one direction, and the other direction in the 2nd colour/pattern.

In version C - both colours run the series up to the midpoint and then backwards to the second end.

In Version D the series alternate colour up to the midpoint and then back down.

The series is 1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55 . . .each number being the sum of the two previous.
